Custom Baptismal Pool
We love custom jobs! Lets get into it.

This was an interesting job brought to us by our plastic supplier. A local church wanted to create a one of a kind baptismal pool for an event coming up in the spring. We were happy to accommodate there schedule.

Designing

The customer wanted this baptismal pool to be in the shape of a cross first and foremost. The other design details were for the outer walls to be in the shape of a octagon and for there to be stairs leading into the pool from two sides. Although its a simple idea we put a lot of effort into designing our tanks to be extremely strong and easy to build. Why is it important to design something that's easy to build you might ask? That's easy to answer, when we are welding seams and joints, the position that the welder has to be in can greatly effect the difficulty of the welding process. If we make it easier on the welder the quality is always better. In turn saving us time from costly mistakes.

Building the tank

Building the tanks was a simple but long process. What you can't see from the photos are the internal support structures inside the tank walls. Each seam needed to be completely smooth and rounded down so we had no sharp edges. After every corner was rounded and each seam inspected we started our hydro static testing to ensure there are no leaks. We test our smaller tanks for 24hrs minimum.

Conclusion

We were able to get a total of two tanks identical to the one in the pictures delivered before the event that the church was holding that week. We have heard the absolutely love the custom tanks and will be using them every chance they get!
